THE LOVE LEVEL - PART 3: Worship

This January we've been talking about the important and complicated issue of human growth and change, and how we might live the good life. And we've seen how Jesus brings an unprecedented perspective to this topic.

Sunday at Storyline's Gathering, Mike Gathright concluded this series with one last look at the wide gap between what the world says will satisfy us, and what God is inviting us into...as well as, how we might accept His offer.

THE LOVE LEVEL - PART 2:
Keeping Score

How do you know if you are winning?  You first have to determine what game you are playing - what the rules are and how you keep score.

What if part of the challenge of life is that we just can't seem to get a hold of how to keep score....like, what counts, or what should?

Jesus had an inside-out way of keeping score in life, one that no one had ever heard of or even dreamed of before him.  This Sunday morning at Storyline's Gathering, Mike Gathright considered the rules Jesus played by and the way he kept score - in life.

CRABWALKING

We all know that most resolutions don't end up working.  And that is bummer, because we all have things about our lives, maybe about ourselves, we'd love to improve.

This Sunday at Storyline's Gathering Mike Gathright considered the upside down but ingenious way Jesus invites us to change and grow, to deepen and enrich our lives and ourselves.

THE POSITIVE FEEDBACK LOOP

December.  What?!  We all know what that means - traveling, shopping, parties, shopping, traveling, eating, driving, cooking, eating, flying, shopping...and on and on it goes.  Why?  What for?
Is there any way we can restore some sanity, encouragement, inspiration, even rest into what has become the craziest time of year?  Mike Gathright is going to explore the original reason behind Christmas in the hope of doing just that.

FUEL

By now we all know that gratitude is good for us. Those of us who see the glass as half full, who find the silver lining and focus on the rainbow, seem to go much further in life.

But is that all that thankfulness is for?

This Sunday at Storyline's Gathering Mike Gathright looked at gratitude and the role it plays in religion versus the exact opposite place it holds in the way of Jesus.

IS HE REAL? - Part 2: It Takes Faith To Doubt

Urgency is a tyrant.  When something is big, spectacular, disastrous, when the clock is ticking - we just have to deal with it.  There isn't a lot we can do about that, unfortunately, the urgent usually takes our attention from the important.

This Sunday at Storyline's Gathering Mike Gathright considered what might be the most urgent question, is God real, in the hope of turning our attention to one that is most important, is God good?

IS HE REAL? - Part 1

We just finished a series of Gatherings asking some big questions about Storyline and life. Among other things we discovered the most important issue before all of us is the question - is God good?  Now we are going to take on the first question...Is God real?
This is an issue more and more people struggle with now so Mike Gathright is going to explore the plausibility of the existence of God.

THIS IS US, Part 5 - The God Problem

Little kids are always asking the same question - why?  Over and over again.  Why is the sky blue? Why do monkeys climb trees? Clean your room.  Why?  There is something very elemental about why? So here's a question...why?

Why is why such a critical question for us?

This Sunday at Storyline's Gathering Mike Gathright concluded our series about Storyline by circling back to the most basic, most fundamental question of all - why.

THIS IS US, Part 2 - WE'RE NOT IN KANSAS ANYMORE

"The problem with the rat race is that even if you win, you're still a rat." Lily Tomlin.

So, how do we avoid that...personally and professionally?  How do we make sure it doesn't happen with Storyline? Well, every once in a while we have to take a minute to figure out where we're at, where we're going - and why.   Last week Mike Gathright began a series of talks addressing the basics of Storyline, and this Sunday he continued by considering our historical context; where are we and more importantly, when are we?
