KIDPORT FOOD DRIVE

STORYLINE is collecting food for the Emergency Shelter.

Items to include are fresh fruits and veggies, canned goods and pantry staples (no expired food, please). The collection will be donated to the Emergency Shelter. Donations will be received at St Joseph High School lobby on Sunday, November 17th. Please bring your donations in the bags that are provided at the HUB or distributed to Kidport families.

Wonderland Toy Store provides parents the opportunity to personally select gifts for their children, maintaining their dignity and allowing them the joy of shopping.  It provides an opportunity for churches, organizations, businesses, and schools in our community to ‘GIVE THE GIFT OF GIVING’ to parents and SHARE GOD’S LOVE in a tangible way.”

Volunteer sign-ups: VOLUNTEER

Invitations are available for families with a financial need with whom you/we have a RELATIONSHIP and are given to parents or primary caregivers only.  Guest Profile Forms for those to whom invitations were given must be filled out (legible & complete) and turned in by Dec.6.  (Contact Bryan Glanzer if you know of someone who could benefit from shopping at the WTS this year.)

WOMEN’S RESTORATION RETREAT

Join us Saturday, November 9th, 10 AM-4 PM, at Circle C Stables (905 Pine Hill Lane, Benton Harbor) for a day dedicated to making time for self care. 

This day retreat for women will give participants the time to unwind and reflect on what brings joy, all in the beautiful surroundings of Circle C Stables. Some of the day’s events will include an energetic yoga session with instructor Mary Alice, RYI 500, meditative trail walks, creating a craft with pottery to take home, ground based activities with the horses, a wonderful catered lunch, and a guided meditation. We wrap up the day’s events with a campfire and treats. 

A wonderful sisterhood is often cultivated as you recharge in nature. Being surrounded by the natural world has been found to reduce anxiety and relieve stress. Women of all ages may attend! 

Cost $160

This retreat is perfect for women who:

• Take care of everyone else before themselves and needs a break

• Are in a hectic season and needs a reboot

• Are feeling overwhelmed and not taken care of

• Could use some time away to prioritize self care

Please note that we are holding a spot for you. Reservations for these events are nonrefundable. If you are unable to attend you can transfer your reservation to a friend.

 Join us for a simple hangout at the Community Center/Park by the Lincoln Township Library in Stevensville from 6:00-8:00 pm except July 4th and July 18.  There are so many fun things to do there!  You can bring your dinner and eat, play basketball, gaga ball, tennis, or pickleball, splash pad, and/or walk the path.  All are welcome!

Kim Neubauer will be leading us in a weekly cooking demonstration and discussion, focusing on healthy, diet-conscious meals that can be easily made for your family or frozen for a future date. Kim hopes to supply your cookbook with plenty of "meal train" and "care team" recipes.

1 cup rolled oats
2/3 cup coconut flakes
1/2 cup peanut butter or other nut butter
1/2 cup ground flax or wheat germ

1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
1 tsp vanilla
1 T chia seeds (optional)  

Double for an extra batch to freeze.
