Grace Changes Everything, Pt. 1

There are all kinds of religions, gurus, political parties and even products that make huge claims about what they can do for us. Is Jesus just another example of them?

This past Sunday at Storyline’s Gathering, we looked at what Jesus offers that is absolutely unique.

The band performed songs by Billie Eilish, The Indigo Girls, Brandi Carlile and more.

Who Is It For?

It seems like every job, role and club has qualifications. Even religions have qualifications - things you need to do, or have, or believe to get in.

Is that true for Jesus?

This past Sunday morning at Storyline's Gathering, we had considered this question and explored the surprising qualifications required to follow Jesus.

The band performed songs by Coldplay, United Pursuit, and more.

Freedom, Pt. 2

Two weeks ago, at the Gathering we explored the desert path to freedom that the Hebrew people took from Egypt into the promised land. God Freed his people from slavery, but what did he free them for? Last week, we pondered exactly that.

What has God freed His people FOR?

Mike Koch and the band played music by Drew Holcomb, Tracy Chapman,
Lauren Daigle, and William Matthews.

The Desert Path to the Promise

The 4th of July is the holiday dedicated to celebrating our country and freedom.
But America didn't invent this idea or ideal, the bible has been
talking about freedom for thousands of years.

This past Sunday at Storyline's Gathering, we had considered why we love freedom so much and why it is so difficult for us to enjoy.

The band performed songs by Bruce Springsteen, Michael Kiwanuka,
Iron and Wine, and NEEDTOBREATHE.

Particles of Community

Last week, we discovered that the life of faith isn't about what we know, it's about who we trust. At this past week's Gathering, we had considered the importance of how a growing trust in each other helps us develop a growing trust in God.

The band performed songs by Van Morrison, Maggie Rogers, Three Dog Night, and Bruce Springsteen.

Happy Fathers Day

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were unable to do the Gathering last week.  So, let's try this again...

Two weeks ago we began to look at the impacts of living in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world.  At this week's Gathering, we continued to dive into this topic, and consider how the life of faith offers us a way forward.

The band performed songs by Nikka Costa, Joni Mitchell, and an original song by Olivia Ring!

We hope to see you next Sunday at 10:30 at St. Joe High School's auditorium.

The Demonstration Truth

Of all the ways to change the world, power is the most tempting and love is the most powerful. But there is another way that is both loving and powerful, and totally unexpected. This past week at Storyline's Gathering we will considered this in the most surprising way.

The band performed songs by Roy Orbison, Lana Del Rey, Lauren Daigle and Gary Jules.

We hope to see you next Sunday at 10:30 at St. Joe High School's auditorium.

Senior Sunday

It is Graduation weekend and this past Sunday at Storyline's Gathering. We celebrated our graduates - and reflected on what they have taught us!

The band performed songs by One Direction, Sara Bareilles, Cyndi Lauper and more.

Please join us next Sunday morning at 10:30 at St. Joe High School.

Our Story

Happy Memorial Day weekend!

This Sunday at Storyline's Gathering we will consider how Jesus reframed the life of faith and how His followers have continued to do that ever since.

The band will perform songs by Tom Petty, Sara Bareilles, Cat Stevens and more.

Please join us this Sunday morning at 10:30 at St. Joe High School's auditorium.

Robots

We live in a world of new devices, apps, and artificial intelligence. All this technology promises to make our lives more productive and more efficient, but to what end? Is it possible we sometimes miss the point in the endless pursuit of more, better, and faster?

This past Sunday at Storyline's Gathering we consided the entirely different focus Jesus had and how He is inviting us into it.

The band will performed songs by Kacey Musgraves, Harry Styles, The Buggles, and more!

We hope to see you next Sunday morning at 10:30 at St. Joe High School's auditorium

The Presence Of The Future

We have all experienced turning points. Something happens and nothing is the same from that time forward.  Easter was that for the first followers of Jesus.  It changed everything for them because it fundamentally changed them - and the world has never been the same.

This Sunday at Storyline's Gathering we take one last look at Easter and how it became the hinge of history and how it could be our turning point as well.

The band will perform songs by Alessia Cara, The Traveling Wilburys,
Tommy Prine, and more.

Simple Yet Hard

Easter is not just a holiday, or even an event, it is at the very center of what Jesus is inviting us into.  This past Sunday at Storyline's Gathering we continued to explore the ways Easter changes everything.

The band performed songs by Adele, Harry Styles, Don Henley, and more.

We hope to see you next Sunday morning at 10:30 at St. Joe High School's auditorium.
